Rihanna reigns supreme on the Billboard Hot 100 as she grabs her 20th top 10 hit for 'We Found Love,' surpassing Madonna as the fastest solo artist to notch 20 Billboard Hot 100 top 10 singles since their debut on the chart.

'We Found Love' marks Rihanna's 20th top 10 hit since she first landed on the chart back on June 11, 2005, for her debut single 'Pon De Replay.' RiRi has racked up 20 top 10s in the span of just six years and four months, marching right past Madonna for the quickest collection of top 10s among solo artists.

Madge's July 1990 hit 'Hanky Panky' marked her 20th top 10, six years and nine months after her first appearance on the chart with 'Holiday.' This means Rihanna has topped the pop icon by five months.

Ri may be on top, but she still looks up to her elders. "I think that Madonna was a great inspiration for me, especially on my earlier work," Rihanna recently revealed.

Among all musical acts, Rihanna's run to 20 top 10s is the second-fastest, right behind the Beatles, who continue to beat out the competition after taking just two years and seven months to achieve the awesome milestone.

Well since they are two of the current superstars in the world right now... what do you want?

I expect them to make the news but lately it seems like that the least little thing either of them do it becomes a newsworthy event. Both of them could stand on a street corner and blow their nose and someone would either write a news article or blog about it.

i give Rihanna credit for breaking the record, that's cool, but the quality of music was far greater in Madonna's day, so this accomplishment isn't as great as it sounds. Impressive, but not too impressive IMO.
