Don’t say goodbye to Springfield yet. Sources told Entertainment Weekly Wednesday that The Simpsons’ producers agreed to take pay cuts to keep the show on the air. Some producers had indicated they would be willing to take a pay cut after 20th Century Fox said earlier this week that the show could not be sustained at its current cost. The exact details of the deal are still not known. The deal does not affect the voice actors, who Fox had asked to take a 45 percent pay cut while the voice actors had countered with a 30 percent reduction that Fox rejected. All sides strongly believe a deal will be reached.

So when will the show end? I can't imagine they would take pay cuts to continue a show as old as the Simpsons.

This is starting to agitate me to be honest. Everybody is agreeing to pay cuts EXCEPT the voice talent.

That's horrible! It wouldn't have killed the voice actors to have taken a 45% pay cut. They already earn $ 8 million dollars a year for a season, after the cut they would have still been getting a little more than $4 million dollars which is not that big of a difference. They are still earning A LOT of money, so what would be the big deal if they had to give up a little bit of it? I think time has made them all greedy and selfish.
