For me, it was local syndication during the 1970's.

I saw it when it first aired. I also remember having some Get Smart trading cards about that same year.

I hate to say it, but I remember it from it's first run. I was a kid and sometimes had to take a bath when it was on. I did get to see some episodes though. I thought it was funny, even as a kid. :)

My parents watched the show in the 1960's during the original run. My dad liked the show a lot, my mom thought it was OK but I don't recall her being that fond of it. I was a kid at the time and too young to understand or appreciate the show. Then in the early 1970's when I was a few years older, Get Smart started airing on local syndicated TV, that's when I started to watch the show and became a fan.

I too am an all-of-the-above-er. Well...first would be first-run of course but I picked it up again on WSNS Chicago in 1977 and Nick @ Nite in 1992. I even decorated an upstairs bedroom in the same patriotic style Mr. Bob redid Max and 99's honeymoon apartment in 1969!

I distinctly remember a Get Smart coloring book from that same era when I was about five. Get Smart was a family favorite (as was Star Trek, making us much cooler than those Nielsen-connected clods) but I also keenly recall being traumatized by the door slamming on Max's nose at the end every week to the extent I had to look away. :shocked

I use to watch it when I was a kid with my dad on reruns in the late 80s. My dad passed away in 1994, I was still a kid then and I remember I'd come home from school to watch the reruns after he had passed on. I loved the show. I didn't care for my kiddies shows then. I watched some reruns in the early 2000s but I was a teen into my music and boys, so I watched it when I could. It's on reruns again in NZ. I can't stop laughing, so I got all the seasons on DVD.

99 was a role model for me. She ROCKED!

Nick at Nite had it during the late 80's/early 90's. Thats when I first saw it and dug it.

I watched the show during the original run.

Back in the summer of 1981 WTBS out of Atlanta was airing Get Smart at 7:35 PM except when the Braves were playing an evening game. During the '81 baseball strike, that meant that there was 6 or 7 weeks where Get Smart was on every evening, and that's when I first saw it. I was 14 and was immediately hooked. I was crazy about anything spy-related in those days.

I did not get to see many episodes that summer, just a few weeks worth, and stopped airing it in the Fall, so it was not until ten years later when Nick at Nite and then later TVLand showed it that I saw most of the episodes. Even still, I have not seen them all, but I just bought the entire series dvd collection, and plan to fix that now.

I remember watching it in its original run but I stopped after the first season-I forget why. Then I started watching the reruns in syndication in the 70s a after not having seen it in years, and I had forgotten how funny it is.

I was just 5 years old when Get Smart ended its original run, so I first remember seeing it in the late 70s in Tennessee, probably on Nashville's then independent (now Fox affiliate) WZTV. It appealed to me a lot as a teenager, as did Green Acres at the time.

I first watched it in 1991 on nick at nite i was in kindergarten around the time

I started seeing it when I got that first DVD release (the condensed 4-disc release that was not part of the full-series release).

I was 12 and it was on a black and white TV. I thought it was so dumb that it was funny.

The earliest I remember seeing it was in the mid '90s, not sure which channel. The episode I most remember seeing then was "Diamond's Are a Spy's Best Friend." But I most remember watching it on TV Land from 2000 to 2003.

April 1, 2001. My grandmother was having cataract surgery the next day, so we had traveled up to her place that day to help her, and just so happens that was the weekend TV Land was having a Get Smart marathon as one of their fandemonium marathons they used to do. This was the first time I had ever seen it and I was immediately hooked. As we stayed a few days with my grandmother that week, I watched some more episodes that week when TV Land showed it. I watched it more whenever I would visit relatives with TV Land up until July 2003. Then it disappeared from TV Land about a month later and I never saw it again until just this past weekend when Decades had a marathon. It brought back so many good memories it just makes me want the DVDs even more.

I seem to remember that it was the Fandemonium Marathon that had the Max soundbyte, "A straightforward message. How diabolically clever. Only a genius would've thought of that!"

I first saw Get Smart as a kid - I was 10-11 at the time. I enjoyed the supporting characters more than Smart though - and I too esp. liked 99.

I was born in 1971, so I missed the original run. I can't really nail down exactly when I first started watching, as it is one of those shows that I seem to remember watching with my dad way back to my earliest recollections. I would guess it was the mid 1970's, and I'm quite sure that WSNS out of Chicago carried it. I have several good (although a little fuzzy) memories of that station.

I saw it from the first run. The spy genre was the thing back then and my friends and I were into The Man From UNCLE, and my friend said "did you watch Get Smart last night? and I said "no, what was it about?" My friend said "this guy walks through doors"... LOL.. I saw the 2nd episode on.

I'd seen bits and pieces of it over the years but I saw my first full episode on MeTV in 2012. It immediately made an impact on me and I've been watching it ever since
