I believe it was a one-time only special, and Linda Lavin (formerly Wentworth; by now on Alice) was one of the guest stars. I never saw it, but anyone with Hal Linden's talent (in addition to acting - his resume includes singing, dancing, and playing clarinet) would make a show like this worthwhile.

Too bad the special isn't one of the bonus features on the upcoming complete series set. I wonder if it even exists anywhere in the vaults anymore.

Hal Linden is a very talented singer, dancer, and musician. :)

I also remember him on a kid's wildlife show called, "Animals, Animals, Animals."
