(Ralph & Ed just exited out of Yankee Stadium.)
Ralph: “Boy, what a bad game Norton. Good thing that this game wasn’t rained out like the one on Friday night was.”
Ed: “I would have loved to play in the rain. I work in water every day.”
Ralph: “Now, the Yankees are tied with Detroit. I so loved it when Boston BLEW their Wild Card lead to Tampa even if it cam at the expense of those BUM Rays beating my Yankees on the last day of the season.”
Ed: “Especially after the Yankees blew that seven run lead.”
Ralph: “Don’t remind me. I want the Yankees to meet the Rays in the ALCS to teach them a lesson that they will never forget.”
Ed: “Yeah. I heard that at that Trop, most of the fans in there cheer on the opposing team.”
Ralph: “Hahahaha. They will do that especially if it’s our Yankees.”
Ed: “This city needs another championship. It’s been a looooong…two years since this city has had one.”
Ralph: “If there is one thing that New York lacks, it is perfect fans. I heard that the Miami Beach fans are the GREATEST.”
(Audience cheers.)
Ralph: “And what a treat it would be for the Yanks to play in Tampa. They will be sooo close to Miami Beach.”
Ed: “So close to that perfect water that flows into the Miami Beach sewers.”
Ralph: “Now is the time for the Yankees to really step it up.”
(They sing a song about stepping it up.)
(Jackie Gleason walks on stage. Audience applauds.)
Jackie: “The Miami Beach audiences are the BEST! GOOD NIGHT!”
(Audience cheers.)
(The end.)
