OK, I know this is not related to Family Ties, but I've been wondering: If you don't mind saying, how old is everyone? :D I'm Twelve. :D

And even though this is kind of off-topic, I will allow it for the time being, as I'm interested in knowing myself. alf8mycat 01-18-2002, 02:14 AM I am 24 as well. Which means I was a child of the 80's, grew up watching every great 80's show there was back then. I was also weened on the great cartoons of the 80's like Voltron and Transformers and even Robotech. Those were the days. Mcfly 01-18-2002, 09:22 AM Wow, a ton of 24 year olds, weird phenomenon. Hey Alf, I remember when they were giving away Alf dolls at (I think) Burger King. I have the old commercial somewhere. And the only 80s cartoon I really worshipped was "Heathcliff", hehe. alf8mycat 01-18-2002, 01:51 PM Originally posted by Mcfly Wow, a ton of 24 year olds, weird phenomenon. I'm pretty new to this board and was wondering if there are any Family Ties fans out there who are age 20 or above? Iv'e noticed a lot of really young people around 13 an 14 which is cool. It's nice to see younger people getting into some of the classic shows of the 80's. It's just a little difficult sometimes to know what to say to younger people. It's like they have a totally different language now you know. And i'm only 20. Boy things change quick don't they? Anyway i'd like to know what it is all you FT fans like about the show, and other shows that your into. I hope to hear from somebody! ftfan 03-06-2002, 04:23 PM Hello, and welcome! u probably already read, but my name is Katie (Alexis) and I am 14. I like most of the older shows a lot more than the modern ones because they have an accual meaning to them, and they are accually FUNNY! The modern shows are not funny, and a lot of them are really perverted! I like Family Ties especially because 1. I LUV Alex Keaton, 2. it is really funny and 3. at the end of every show it has somekind of like scene where there is advice, or something like that! Neway, I luv the show, and besides Alex being the cutest guy in the world (hehe) his caracter reminds me a lot of myself! I also luv The Facts of Life (which nick at nite took off!), Perfect Strangers, and Hogan's Heros! I am kindof an old fassioned teen though. I should have been a teen in the 80's! The music was much better, the TV was better, and I just like the whole time piriod better! I hate modern music! LOL Neway, enough from me. Welcome again! TTYL! Alexis Republicans RULE! Plata 03-06-2002, 06:15 PM I agree with you, ftfan. The music was so much better in the 80s and the tv shows too. I love the tunes of the Go-Gos, Bananarama, Honeymoon Suite, Menudo and tons more from that decade. The tv shows and movies weren't bad either. One of my fave 80s movies is Back To The Future and I also like the shows Family Ties of course and Silver Spoons. I also like the shows Hogans' Heroes and I Dream Of Jeannie. I also agree that these older shows are so much better than what they have on tv now. I'm a total traitor to my generation. I hate the modern day music, I hate the modern days shows. I just don't seem to belong in this generation. kirkfan 03-07-2002, 04:58 PM I think I am the oldest one too post so far :lol I am 32 years old! I remember being 13 years old and being in love with Micheal J. Fox. I feel really old now! I grew up watching Family Ties from the very first show! And yes the shows from the 80s are a lot better than most of the shows they have out today. MJFfan 03-12-2002, 09:03 PM Just as long as we're on a subject about the people who post here... I was curious, this may sound stupid, but who is a boy and who is a girl? I was curious because sometimes u can't tell? But I agree that with the username people use here (those who don't actually use their real name as username), it's often hard to tell.
