I would have recorded the show had I known she was going to be on there.

Marla Gibbs was on a local tv show here today called Good Day NY and I have to be honest, it was a little depressing hearing her talk. She was very forgetful and seemed a little out of it.

I think MyFox5NY.com will have it. The most interesting part of that interview was that she said after getting the gig of Florence, she kept her job with Delta airlines....just in case. lol

One thing I can say about Marla Gibbs: She was one SMART COOKIE! She Knew that show business was fleeting, so she always looked out for her interests. That's why she had it put in her contract in '81 that she could have her job back after "Checking In" didn't do so well.

Her interview on WW was spot on. It was a pleasure watching her and Jaleel.

As an aside, don't normally watch WW but i the guest list piqued my interest. Also, it comes on directly after the morning Fox news, which I always watch (love Rosanna Scotto and Greg Kelly, they have great chemistry).

Rarely watch daytime TV anyways (maybe once in a blue Dr. Oz if I'm home at time)
