I remember seeing him in a Dick Van Dyke episode and a couple of Outer Limits.

Ed was in dozens of tv shows before Get Smart and only a handful afterwards. imdb.com has a good list although it doesn't mention his appearance on The Jerry Lewis Show. I read THAT somewhere;)
