I never knew that! I guess I would have been okay with that. Who would have thought?

I like the show, but I dont think an updated version would have worked.

I seriously doubt it. If they had intended to actually reprise the series, Cathy would have arrived from Scotland with a granddaughter identical to Patty's granddaughter, instead of a son.

I assumed Pat had a meeting with Leslie Mooves(?) about doing a rebooted series this time with Patty/Cathy as grown women. Still identical cousins on the show but switching it up with the American granddaughter and Scottish son.
