I swear there was talks for Patty to reprise her role as the twins on a weekly basis for CBS.

Speaking of which I wouldn't mind a TV reboot of a show in the style of "The Patty Duke Show".

I never knew that! I guess I would have been okay with that. Who would have thought?

I like the show, but I dont think an updated version would have worked.

I seriously doubt it. If they had intended to actually reprise the series, Cathy would have arrived from Scotland with a granddaughter identical to Patty's granddaughter, instead of a son.

I never heard that. While I enjoyed the movie for nostalgic purposes, I'm not sure it ever could have made it as a new series anyway.

Dang my memory must be fuzzy

I assumed Pat had a meeting with Leslie Mooves(?) about doing a rebooted series this time with Patty/Cathy as grown women. Still identical cousins on the show but switching it up with the American granddaughter and Scottish son.

I wonder if it would have lasted a season......
