When what we viewers knew as daytime of the "good old days"(the 1960's-1980's,especially the 1960's),when game shows (and yes, soap operas), dominated daytime TV,and when game shows "Jeopardy!","Wheel of Fortune","Family Feud" "The Price is Right","Let's Make A Deal","Who Wants to Be A Millionaire",have all ended(but don't worry,it will be years from now before any of these game shows end),going the way of soap operas, and have been replaced by something else,do you think people will remember that there WAS a time in daytime TV when game shows and soap operas ruled?

And do you think that people will actually remember the shows I mentioned above?

Good question and to be honest, game shows will always be around in some form or another. As for soaps, to be honest I think they will be sadly forgotten much like the tv western or variety show.

And,do you think anybody years from now will remember "Deal or No Deal","It's Worth What?","The Weakest Link","Duel","1 vs.100","Downfall" or "Million Dollar Money Drop",all.,except for "Deal or N0 Deal"or "The Weakest Link"which were moderately successful, lasting a season or two(all the rest were duds)and "It's Worth What?"which was promising and could come back with a new host (as I said in another post,Rich Fields or Howie Mandel would be great as host),but I doubt it.Getting back to the question:Do you think that anyone years from now will remember the shows I mentioned?

Unfortunately I think Soaps will be eventually forgotten. Their's not even syndication to keep their memories alive. How many people today even remember Search For Tomorrow, Love of Life or The Edge of Night? I'm sure the older people remember but unless you're a soap junkie the younger generation won't know.

Game shows will always be around but the golden age of game shows is long gone.

And,do you think that years from now people will remember who the mean host of "The Weakest Link",that brittle, very rude British woman(I have nothing against British people)Anne Robinson?I think not.By bthe way, what is she doing now?My guess is she's probably back in Britain.
