"The Love Boat promises something for everyone". And it lived up to that promise. Movie stars from the 40's, 50's and 60's. T.V. Stars from the 50's, 60's, and 70's. Singers. Comedians. They all took cruises on the love boat! The show may have been a tad on the corny side but it was fun to tune in every week to see who would be "on board" that week! And it was fun having a place were old stars and young stars, new stars and show biz vets could all strut their stuff. I would say I miss this kind of TV but Hot in Cleveland is using a similar formula and I'm loving it.

I've always wanted to sail on 'The Love Boat'.
You still may be able to...
The Pacific Princess' 107-day world cruise will host guest speakers from the worlds of television, theme parks and even outer space. For pop culture fans, it's a bonanza with guests Jerry Mathers, star of the classic sitcom Leave It to Beaver; Gavin MacLeod, the captain from The Love Boat; and actor and former teen idol Tab Hunter.
The cruise, which leaves Fort Lauderdale on Jan. 13, will visit 38 destinations in 28 countries, with calls on six continents as it sails through Latin America, the South Pacific, Australia and New Zealand, Asia, the Middle East and Egypt, finally ending in Venice. Some lucky passengers will stay for the whole journey, but many will just sail for a segment or two.
