Sept. 21, 2011

World-famous gothic rock unit Lacuna Coil have posted a new statement on their official site, announcing the confirmed North American release date for their hotly anticipated (and slightly postponed) sixth studio album 'Dark Adrenaline'.

The update also included a full rundown on the record, including the complete track listing, as well as details about the album's first single 'Trip the Darkness', which is scheduled to premiere next month.

'Dark Adrenaline', the follow-up to the band's successful 2009 release 'Shallow Life', was helmed by famous producer Don Gilmore, whose studio credits include albums by Bullet For My Valentine, Linkin Park and Good Charlotte.

The band assures that the new project will deliver a "melodic, sensual, metallic rush," which is a very good way to sum up their sound.

"I am so thrilled I can finally say something about this album," lead vocalist Christina Scabbia said in the announcement.

"I feel this is the best work we have ever done, and it absolutely captures the essence of who we are. The atmosphere of the record will make a lot of old-school fans very happy, and the newer fans will enjoy the vibrant energy and the dark blood running through the songs. I really believe Dark Adrenaline will wake you up."

Track Listing:

01. Trip The Darkness
02. Against You
03. Kill the Light
04. Give Me Something More
05. Upsidedown
06. End of Time
07. I Don't Believe in Tomorrow
08. Intoxicated
09. The Army Inside
10. Losing My Religion
11. Fire
12. My Spirit

The first single 'Trip the Darkness' is slated to make its world premiere on Active Rock Radio on October 10th, and the digital download will be available on October 17th.

The band also hinted that a major North American tour is coming soon, the details of which they plan to announce in the next few weeks... so stay tuned for more news!

'Dark Adrenaline' is scheduled for release on January 24, 2012 in North America.

They are. They're from Milan, Italy and are widely known overseas.

If you're not into the gothic music scene, you probably woudn't have heard of them.

That's true, I'm definitely not into gothic music.
