How bad was the pilot for "Kim Finally Cuts You Know Whose Apron Strings"?.

Nothing against Lucie Arnaz she struggles on with a terrible script, cartoon like characters.

Even Alan Oppenheimer,a very good Actor puts in an OTT performance, surprised that the normal scripting talent of Bob Caroll

and Madelyn Pugh Davis is so below par.

So glad a series wasn't made as it would have bombed, glad Kim stayed on "Here's Lucy".

It definitely would have bombed as a series. That pilot was horrible.

I struggled to sit through it,was that bad.

I just got series 3 and Lucy even says to Harry he's Kim and Craig's only Uncle but a season later, they dig one out for the Lucie Arnaz pilot.

I remember "The Golden Girls" had a terrible pilot in season2 for "Empty

Nest",even the wonderful Rita Moreno couldn't save it.

Although a spinoff didn't happen then it was reworked with only one Actor remaining from the orginal pilot and it was a hit with Richard Mulligan.

Not only that, but wouldn't you think if Lucy had a brother living right there in Los Angeles, she would have at least mentioned it at some point? Like Lucy Ricardo, Lucy Carter was from New York State and moved to Los Angeles around 1965 or 1966 (depending on which episode you believe), so if her brother did the same thing, it seems we would have known about it. Harry also originated in New York, by the way. Of course, this series has a lot of inconsistencies, so who knows?
