My Day: 9

I made this thread several years back, but since it seems like atleast 50% of the people here have joined within the last few years, I thought I'd start it again so ya'll can participate. I rate my day a 9. Absolutely phenomenal, and about as close to a 10 as possible.

Yesterday was a 5. Wasted my day by sleeping all day. Today was wonderful, and I give it an 8. Received a message from my dearest online friend on Facebook. Had a guy in a truck stop so that I could cross the street. He waved, and smiled at me. Met this black lady at Albertson's, and we had a friendly chat about how bad customer service can be. lol Also ran into this really pretty girl, looked to be anywhere from 18, to 22, who was carrying something heavy, and so mom and I let her pass us because we were walking slow, and didn't want her to be behind us considering the fact that what she was carrying was so heavy. She said thank you, and gave us both a beautiful smile. Also ran into a couple of my homeless friends, Nate, and Troy. Cashed in some cans at Albertsons and got $3.15 for my trouble. Also, nobody asked me for a cigarrette today, which is a rarity. See, miracles do happen!!! lol Had about four ask me yesterday, and when I told them that I don't smoke, they gave me a nasty look like they wanted to beat me up. lol These things, among others, made my day terrific! Hope yours was too, and hope today is even better!! :D

I'm going in reverse here...

9/22-3

Why 3?

My Early Morning Commute sucked (I have to ride Public Transportation in the dark, I couldn't find a good seat, someone sat next to me and had to use my phone), I found out that I'll have to work EVERY Saturday for the rest of the year, and I feel that's my fate!

9/21-5

Why 5?

Like yesterday...I'll just say this...my Morning rides on Public Transportation REALLY sucked! The 1st Bus didn't show up so I HAD to ride the 2nd Bus, I saw my parents (It's not that I hate them, but they caused sooooo much pain in my life last year, I'm STILL trying to shake that off), but other than that the rest of the day was fine.

9/20-1

Why 1?

This REALLY wasn't my week with Public Transportation, I found out that the street that I would walk by was closed so I had to go around, I missed the 1st bus so I had to ride a 2nd bus...and I had to sit next to a kid (I Hate Kids), My ride to my recovery meeting cancelled on me, I tried to get a ride to another recovery but no one could take me so I went back home feeling that God is REALLY giving me the shaft! (I still feel that God Hates me right now, that's just my fate).

I had to work! I also have to go to my parents house tomorrow to put stuff on Ebay and I feel that I have to fulfill my parents future and I might as well forget about mine and see a Fortune-Teller!

I feel that I have NO Purpose in Life Right Now!:(

PS-Brad...I'd like to talk to you.

Wonderful day! Worked a bit, did my first mock fantasy basketball draft in about a year and a half, hung out with my buddy, went to Goodwill to look at shirts that I'm hoping to buy when I get some extra money. They have really nice dress shirts that go for 30 or 40 bucks in retail chains. You get many of the same shirts at Goodwill for only 6 bucks. Anyway, great day, got alot of housework done, spent time with mom, it was awesome.

9-28-11 10!!!

9-29-11 9

9-30-11 9

Today was a great day, got alot done. Also got paid today, so that's cool. Did get some possible bad news. We have to pay our cable and internet bill by tomorrow, or else we will get it shut off again. I'd use my money, but after I pay everybody off, I will be broke. We should be okay, we'll probably use half our food money to pay the bill. If it does get shut off, it will only be off for a month or so, so I ain't crying. Just wanted to let you all know though incase we do get it shut off.

Ha ha ha, correct me if I'm wrong, but I imagine your house is pretty popular come October?? I have a feeling your house is one of the ones kids change their costume for to get more good candy from you. No peeps or candy corn from you. lol ;) Have a great week Tony!!

This whole week has totally SUCKED Donkey Nuts:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (were probably the worse freaking days of my entire life) Thursday (was a tad better) Friday, hey, at least I didn't cry!

Saturday: I will rate this day a solid 5. I am still deeply sad. But I am a strong person, and I will survive. It just hurts like hell!!!

I'm so sorry to hear this Tara! I'm so rooting for you to find the happiness that you deserve. I know that you wrote this a few days ago, so my hope is that things have gotten better since. Hang in their my friend, and never forget that I am ALWAYS just a phone call away. Much love to you my dear friend!! :)

Very nice day today. Took the day off, but had my blood draw which turned out well. Got lots of sleep, which I needed. I feel good and rested. Just woke up about a half hour ago.

Yes, most of the neighbors know I have a Halloween display inside the house. Don't know if I've noticed any kids changing costumes; I think they are too eager to cover as many houses as possible.
Thanks for the greeting. :)

Okay, today was a 10! Everything went smoothly, was talking to one of the neighbors for a while, got to bicycle a lot and the radio in my '76 Cadillac Limousine is working for the first time in 5+ years.

It is a unique radio unit because there are controls in the rear compartment in which you can adjust the volume and change stations. When the rear controls are on, you cannot adjust the volume in the front with the usual left knob, you can with a ring behind the right knob, but the volume in the rear compartment stays the same. Here is a photo of the rear compartment controls (radio and climate control)...

It was only available on the Limousine and nine-passenger sedan. A good feature which was seen on those models for many years.
