Hi, I read somewhere, that the TV movie that was made about Freddie Prinze was very inaccurate and was an insult to Freddie's memory. That's why I won't view it. Why didn't they make a TV movie based on Maria's book? Does anybody here know why?
I think if they had based it on Maria's book, the tv movie would have been more truthful. I'm afraid that back in 1979, there were people who didn't read Maria's book, waited for the TV movie, and got the wrong idea of what Freddie Prinze was like. Maybe that's why there's not much demand for Chico and The Man to have season sets on DVD. This is just a guess. If someone can answer my question, that would be great. I do know that if you want to know the real Freddie, your best bet is to read Maria's book.
