Hot in Cleveland is a hit for TV Land no doubt about that. The sitcom has used many, MANY guest stars. Do you think its too many? Is it overkill? Does it take away from the principal cast? OR Is it something that makes the show special and helps you to enjoy it more?

I look at "Hot in Cleveland" as being similar to "The Love Boat". Both shows have a core cast of regulars that fans can get to know and love. And both shows surround that core cast each week with guest stars that are familiar to TV audiences from their past work. For me it's a formula that works and that I enjoy.

It's what makes the show special. It reunites people too, like Betty & Mary Tyler Moore and John Mahoney & Jane Leeves. :) They might not have a chance to work together again otherwise.

Excellent observations thus far! I love the Love Boat comparison Marv! You are also correct Leigh Ann when you say it gives classic tv stars to reunite with co-stars. Something other networks probably wouldn't have done.

If that is what keeps people watching, so be it.

Hey, where else can you see Hal Linden, Carl Reiner, and many other classic sitcom stars of the past these days? I say keep 'em coming!! :D
