View Full Version : Is "Season 5" a part of the S4 DVD set? JMFabiano524 09-14-2011, 06:19 PM I remember stories about S5 being short, so I was just wondering... Vahan 09-14-2011, 07:17 PM No, it isn't. BTW, rumor has it on Home Theater Forum that Shout's relationship with Fox has gone south. Brian Ward even stated on Twitter that recently, Fox has been very difficult to license from. Fox is a very arrogant company, and I can't believe they would pull this crap on Shout, of all indies. If the rumors are to be believed, it turns out that Fox is charging Shout an outrageous wad of cash, just for the final season. JMFabiano524 09-14-2011, 07:29 PM No, it isn't. Seeing as how the MTM library is their man in the iron mask, if you will (I detect some resentment on behalf of Fox towards the company), I guess we should be lucky we got 4 seasons and all of TMTMS. So much for our dreams of Phyllis, the rest of St. Elsewhere (I was curious as to whether they'd include the original end credits to the series finale), and others. Maybe I should add a "Free the MTM Library" note on my sig next. scotsguy 09-15-2011, 11:25 AM I wouldn't say Shout Factory were too upfront with the DVD release of season1 of Rhoda saying "they looked high and low" for Rhoda's master tapes, thats why so many season1 episodes are edited and there was no remastering done. When ALN showed Rhoda season1 in 2010,many of the missing scenes from the "Rhoda" season1 DVD set were shown,ie Mary Tyler Moore's guest appearance in the "Rhoda" pilot. They did make more of an effort with seasons 2 to 4,I'd like to see season 5 on DVD but let's not forget the gems missed from season1 due to edited episodes. |
