Charlie Sheen Embarks on Post-Roast Publicity Tour

Apparently Charlie Sheen is not done talking.
Sheen has booked a flurry of talk show appearances in the wake of his Comedy Central roasting last weekend in Los Angeles. He’ll be on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" Thursday, the "Today" show on Friday and Wendy Williams' syndicated talker on Sept. 19.
The Comedy Central roast, which featured Mike Tyson, Jeffrey Ross, Seth MacFarlane, William Shatner and others poking fun at the former "Two And a Half Men" star, airs Sept. 19, the same evening as the season premeire of "Men".
On "Today", Sheen tells Lauer: “I couldn’t really put the fire out.”
And he offers an explanation of sorts for his extended public tirade.
“I don’t know, the tiger blood… it was so silly and people took it so seriously and I figured, alright, I’ll continue to give the people what they want, you know?”
Sheen also tells Lauer that he’s “absolutely” sober. Asked when he last had a drink or took drugs, Sheen replies: “I don’t really keep track of the time. It’s been awhile, because I feel like, without getting into my feelings about AA and all that stuff, if you’re walking around hanging on to your time, it’s only a matter of time before it goes, you know?”
And Sheen says that he’s “mending fences” with ex-wives Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller and “trying to move forward and prioritize what matters.”
“You know, just really get back in touch with some more reality and some more,” he says. “It’s what I call the moments inside the moments. I think that’s where the life is, you know, it’s in those quiet moments. It’s not the giant TV deal or the big party or the award or whatever, it’s the memory of your child’s smile at the end of the day that sort of brings that one lonesome tear, you know that tear, right Matt?”
