It looks as though Tristan Rogers (Colin) may not be the only one leaving The Young and the Restless. According to sources, Genie Francis (Genevieve) could be on her way out as well. Meanwhile, according to CBS Soaps In Depth, Sean Patrick Flannery (Sam), Eden Riegel (Heather) and Darius McCrary (Malcolm) are also being let go. Last night, Rogers announced on Twitter his character was departing Genoa City.

To tell the truth, none of those names surprises me.

So many characters come & go on this show, it's hard to keep up with them all. But it was nice seeing Tristan & Genie again.

Genie Francis is only going to be off screen for a few weeks while she tapes a TV movie. Nothing more has been said about her leaving.

I believe so. I read that they have a big story for her when she returns. I am loving seeing her paired up with Peter Bergman on the show, so I really hope they continue with that.

It is a short-term medical leave. Jeanne should be back on screen sometime in December. Michael Learned is temporarily replacing her.

I haven't watched it too much for a while now, so I have no idea who most of those characters are. Now, if the actor's who have been playing Victor, Jack, Nicholas, Ashley, Mrs. C, etc.(in other words, the actors who have been there pretty much forever) were being fired, I might be more interested.;)

Great to hear that Jeanne is feeling better and back to work. Michael Learned did a good job filling in for Jeanne, but there's only one Katherine!!! :clap:

Wow, if I'd have known that the Walton's "Olivia" was taking Jeanne's place for her absence, I would have tried to catch that. I'm sure she did a good job!
