LOL, my favorite "DW" character is without a doubt Bernice! LOL, she is so lovable and hilarious. Alice Ghostley is such a wonderful actress and really can make people laugh. If anyone has some classic Bernice quotes, PLEASE post some. I love quotes and I don't really have any for Bernice and would love to read some.:lol:

you could go to the DW tribute page and look under funny quotes and i am almost positive that there are some bernice quotes on there....hope this helps!

She was excellent with her top-notch one-liners and fun pratfalls....but the character was just played off of that, and had no emotions whatsoever. The writers eventually gave all of the funny lines to her, but it still wasn't enough...her character needed the heart that it deserved, and it instead played out as a light-headed old lady....Ms. Ghostley did try her best though.

I loved her in "How Great Thou Art" :)

I think it's funny that alcohol has the opposite affect on Bernice.

then on one episode they are spending the night at Carlene's in that bad neighborhood. And Bernice keeps calling anthony Mandingo.

Remember the epi when they all went to vegas. Anthony gets drunk and ends up getting married... Then BJ suggests that Anthony could buy off his new bride... But he has to go down to the lobby in his undies and buy a magazine!!:lol: Then Bernice says "i'll throw in 10$ if u go naked" :lol:

That one is on right now.

The best one by far, Bernice or not, was when Mary Jo and Julia were stuck under Chucks bed. By far the best episode there is.

I love the episode where Bernice wears the Christmas tree skirt.....anyone know where I can find a picture of that?!!!! I've been looking everywhere!

Not sure where you could find a pic, but I know in the DW reunion show, they play a clip with her wearing the skirt. That was SOOOO funny!

I love Bernice too! She and Suzanne are my favs...anyway, my fav moment is from that same Las Vegas 2-parter that somebody else mentioned. It's the beginning of the second one...

Julia: Well I can't, I just can not believe this!
Bernice: Then don't, I don't...when bad things happen I just don't believe 'em...basically, I haven't believed anything bad since the Cuban Missile Crisis.

She's alot funnier then when she was on Bewitched.

The Christmas tree skirt is what popped into my head when I saw this tread title. "I like to never got this thing on!" ROFL. And as others have said, the way she put Charlene's minister in his place in "How Great Thou Art" was awesome! I <3 Bernice! :)
