I was only ten years old when Bogie died (in 1957). But, in the early '70s, I
discovered his films on TV. First, I saw "Key Largo," and after that I was hooked. My favorites include "Casablanca" (arguably the best movie Hollywood ever made), "The Maltese Falcon," "To Have and Have Not" and
"The African Queen" (his Oscar-winning role).

Big Humphrey Bogart fan.

Casablanca is one of my favorite movies of all time, if not my favorite.

Across The Pacific
To Have and Have Not
Key Largo
The Maltese Falcon
Dark Passage
All Through The Night

These are among my Bogart favorites.

(have to rewatch a few others now and update)

Bogart was unnervingly brilliant in The Caine Mutiny in a highly unsympathetic role. An excellent film as well.

"You do know how to whistle don't you? You just put your lips together and blow!" One of the all time great movie lines!

I love Humphrey Bogart! He was amazing! And he and Lauren Bacall were just magical!

They did have fantastic onscreen (and offscreen) chemistry. But did you know that when they met (on the set of "To Have and Have Not") Lauren
Bacall was only nineteen (and he was forty-five)? Nevertheless, they were married on May 21, 1945 (a union that lasted until his death, on Jan. 14, 1957).

I guess it's true what they say: age is just a number.
