Some of the Frasier episodes that were Cheers related make sense now that I have seen Cheers. I watched the series Frasier first and then the series Cheers.

Anyone else watch the two series in reverse and then go back and watch the related episodes? Frasier looked so young esp. in his first season of Cheers.

He did look young, but you can see there why they cast DHP as his brother. They really do have a resemblance! And it's strange to watch the Frasier/Diane episodes, knowing what's coming w/ Lilith and all. I didn't watch Cheers all that much till after I got hooked on Frasier, so I know what you mean.

It's almost uncanny how much Kelsey and DHP look alike. I was so blown away when I found out that's why DHP was casted as Niles. Their onscreen chemistry as brothers was just amazing, the most believable set of brothers on any show I have ever watched.

I was never a huge fan of Cheers although I do watch the show from time to time. It's on Hallmark and my boyfriend has several seasons on DVD. It's not a bad show, but I have to admit I like Frasier better.

The other night I couldn't sleep so I was watching Cheers (Frasier wasn't on yet... ha ha), but I walked out of the bedroom for a few minutes and then came back in. I caught a glimpse of the television and I saw a man sitting at the Cheers bar and for a split second I thought it was Niles! Then I remembered that it was an old episode of Cheers!

I watched Cheers last night, and WOW Kelsey Grammer looked so young! It's the episode Diane Meets Mom. It's when Diane meets Hester and Hester tells Diane to stop seeing Frasier by threatening her.

Now I can really see why they decided to cast DHP as Frasier's brother, the resemblance is uncanny! A young Kelsey looks just like DHP and they could really be brothers. It's amazing really. I think that is what made it so believable, that and the chemistry between Kelsey and DHP. I just can't believe it. :eek:
