A group of awkward losers at a community college come together in a study group, sounds awesome right? I am not being sarcastic at all because while the premise sounds a bit lame, Community takes this tired idea and makes something wonderful. The show would simply not work if the actors involved were not all extremely talented and able to take whatever wacky football of a plot they are given each week, working together to score a comedy touchdown. Zombie outbreak on campus? They handle it. Paint ball game turns their campus into a literal war zone? They survive unscathed. The function as a team and it shows every week.

Totally agree. I'd go as far as to put it in the Top 25 sitcoms of all time, just because of how innovative the show is. There isn't ANYTHING else like it.

Critically, I would say it's definitely not underrated. I hear almost nothing but love for this show from TV critics and bloggers--which is awesome. Audience and awards wise though I have to say heck yeah it doens't get enough attention!

While I sadly understand why this show doesn't appeal to mainstream viewers, I just can't fathom how it didn't manage to pick up an Emmy nom. Hopefully another season like last year's will make it impossible to ignore next time. I'm not holding my breath though.

i love Community; the writing is consistently good, the cast is always great and they always come up with new fresh ideas that you won't see on very many shows
