Well, I went to Matthew and Gunnar's concert last night in Bay Shore and it was wonderful! They were super nice and gave a great show. At the very beginning they said (I'm paraphrasing a tiny bit so don't take the italics verbatim) the Bolton has a policy of no cameras or videotaping but we're here to tellyou to disregard that tonight. We're just singing not juggling objects on fire and with that they won my heart. The show had a great deal of variety and they interspersed their singing with some vidoes from the show. One clip was from "Hairdo For Harriet" (hope I got the title right as I know there's something very similar from a VERY EARLY EP) - it was the ep where Ozzie gets that bald wig and Ricky comes out at the end dressed up like Elvis.
They are super generous entertainers. At the end they had a meet and great and before the show ended they said they would stay as long as needed for everyone to say hello. I gave them a picture my great aunt had on her wall. Her husband was a Burlesque writer and talent scout and the pic was one signed by Ozzie of himself as a very young man. I gave it to them. And I think they liked it. The pic was probably 75-80 yrs old at this point.
Anyways a wonderful wonderful show. If they play near you, GO FOR IT - you won't be dissapointed!
