We asked a handful of TV folks for late-summer viewing suggestions, old and new

Michael C. Hall, "Dexter": "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" - that's a great show. It's available on box set. I have one. The writing is perfect, it's perfectly structured, the characters ... it's great. In this day and age it's a borderline museum piece.

Kathie Lee Gifford said recently that she likes it too. :thumbsup:

Of course Oprah is a hugh fan,thanks to her,we got the last three seasons out due to her reunion special.

Yeah, I remember seeing an interview w/ Sarah Jessica Parker where she said she hoped people would compare Sex in the City to TMTMS, b/c shes really admires the writing. I'm sure lots of other celebs have said similar things, b/c the show is still remembered and respected even today.

It’s funny this topic should come up.
Last week Stacy London of What Not to Wear was in Minneapolis to do some ambushes for the show.
When it was pointed out to her that Minneapolis is the city made famous by Mary Tyler Moore, she tweeted that she loves Mary and is a big fan!
Obviously she has great taste in areas other than fashion!
