A brief report on our news that Estelle is suffering from dementia and has been admitted into a home of some sort. Is this true? Does anyone know any facts about this?:(

Estelle has been suffering from a condition similar to Parkinson's Disease, and it was also reported on Entertainment Tonight just last week that she now has Alzheimer's as well. I've not heard that she has been admitted to a home, but it's my understanding that she now requires round-the-clock nursing care (I didn't see the ET segment, but a handful of people who did see it told me about it). Last spring, she sold her house and moved into a condo.

Unfortunately we rarely get any news on these actors ( in Australia) and in the circumstances that we do, then I have to check it out for myself as some of the facts are misrepresented. I had no idea Estelle's health was suffering, as I recently saw her on 'Stuart Little'. She seemed fine. I am sad to hear of her predicament, hopefully she won't get any worse. (fingers crossed).

That's so sad. It's tough, because I keep thinking of her being like spunky Sophia. I will keep my fingers crossed as well.
