Kristina Holland (Tina Rickles): I had forgotten that Kristina filled in briefly on The Bob Newhart Show when the character of Carol Kester (Marcia Wallace) was absent. I thought she looked great in a non-curly hairstyle. She was an excellent choice to step in, and would have been a fine first choice if it had been in the cards.
James Komack (Norman Tinker): As I've mentioned on other boards, Bill Bixby actually says "the komack" aloud on an episode of My Favorite Martian (series for which James was a writer). Kind of jarring to hear, considering their later close relationship doing Courtship.
For some time I've been aware of a claim that James was actually the son of Milton Berle (!!!). It seems plausible, and there's definitely some facial resemblance (mouth area). It's in his Wikipedia entry. Illegitimate son of Berle! I still can't get over the idea. Sad that Komack is no longer with us. His influence on '70s TV would be difficult to overstate.
Miyoshi Umeki (Mrs. Livingston): Once again, very sad that another cast member has passed on. I also enjoyed Miyoshi's episode of Mister Ed and look forward to searching out more of her work.
