With eight different hosts to choose from every weeknight, it's not hard to see why Lopez Tonight was cancelled, or why Conan O'Brien is struggling at TBS. Eventually, they all get the same guests within a two week period, and most of the interview talking points are identical! Within the next few years, the landscape will drastically change, and here's how I see things going down.

i don't think it's too crowded; there are different shows that attract different audiences and I don't think too many people watch more than 2 different shows at a time - there really isn't a whole lot of overlap.

i watch Craig Ferguson religiously every night (even the reruns), I would watch Letterman if he's got a good guest on or if I am caught up on my DVR viewing, If they have a good guest on I might check out Carson Daily or Conan, but I would never watch Jimmy Fallon, Chelsey Handler, Colbert, Stewart or any of those other guys.
