Im this board a lot but all of a sudden I see all these channels popping up. Familynet, INSP, Bounce TV, ME-TV etc. It seems like channels are debuting a lot more now than ever. They may not be available in all areas but they are still there. Has anybody noticed this or is it just me?

I've noticed it.Of course some of these new stations are free stations, or in other words not cable stations. There is also a new station that is supposed to show mainly classic cartoons, however I don't know the name of it.---I hope stations like Bounce and similair stations ,which seem pretty worthless do NOT get in the way of top stations like Me-tv, or any station that airs classic tv shows or cartoons etc. getting more affiliates to carry them.

This is probably a very dumb question but with all these new channels popping up, does that mean that cable is going to jack up the price? Could it be possible that cable with just stay the way it is as far as price goes?

Actually, it means that people are DROPPING cable like flies and realizing they can get these channels for free. I, for one, welcome these new channels that are free. I never thought that switching to digital TV was going to be so wonderful after all with Antenna TV, MeTV, ThisTV and hopefully down the road, Bounce TV, The Cool TV, PB and J, etc.

So channels like Antenna TV, MeTV etc. are free, then what channels do we pay for every month? This also shows how little I know about the inner workings of tv.

I mostly watch HUB or ME TV. I watch HBO for True Blood, Boardwalk Empire, and movies I haven't seen yet.

Btw, you can add ReelzChannel, Smithsonian, Ovation etc. The channels I just got. Ive never even heard of these channels before I got them. It makes me think there must be hundreds of channels out there that nobody knows about.

I spent the afternoon flipping through channels and there wasn't one that really caught my eye. Too many stations, many with the same format just doesn't do much with me. I rather take a nap. sad.
