I have been using Firefox as my browser for a long time. Last night I decided to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox. Now I can't get Firefox to load on my computer. I either get a dialogue box that says a script on this page failed to complete or I get a dialogue box that says this application failed to load properly. Anybody else ever experience this or know how to fix it?(I'm using I.E. right now)

Tried deleting the entire program and redownloading a new one?

No I haven't tried that. Thanks for the suggestion.

you probably have some incompatible add-on or plug-in
start Firefox in safe mode (http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe%20Mode) then disable or uninstall your add-ons
- or just start fresh; uninstall Firefox completely, uninstall Java and Flash, clear out your temp files and then download & reinstall the current version of each.

Thanks robyrob. I'll try that.

If the problem persists, you might try reinstalling an earlier version of Firefox as well.
I found this link to prior versions of the Firefox installation file.
http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/
You have to work through the directories to select the right operating system (windows or mac) as well as the language you want...
For example, this is a link to Firefox version 3.6.19
http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/latest-3.6/win32/en-US/
When you click on the first 3.6.19.exe link, the setup window will pop up.
It's also possible that you may still have the setup file for a prior version still in your downloaded files folder somewhere.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I opened Firefox in safe mode and disabled all my add-ons and now Firefox is working again.
