View Full Version : Hello everyone
buckeye932 08-10-2011, 04:00 AM Hi folks,
I have enjoyed this board for quite some time and this is my first post.
Thanks to everyone for their contributions, I love the fact that so much information is here about one of my favorite shows. I loved it growing up, it used to scare the crap out of me at times, esp when it came on at either 11pm or 1 am or something like that.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could recommend any books from cases that were profiled on unsolved mysteries. I am aware of the Amy Billig book as well as the Jodi Huisentruit book. I plan on getting these soon.
Thanks,
Pat

Welcome! I have read many books based on UM cases. Am currently about to read the book about Anita Greene's murder and then on to the Jodi Huisentruitt book. Here is an old thread where many of us posted books about UM cases:

Apostapler 08-10-2011, 07:52 AM Isn't there a book about Danny Paquette?
I know there is one about Franklin Floyd/Sharon Marshall/Michael Hughes. It's called "A Beautiful Child" by Matt Birkbeck. It was a very well-written and researched book.

Yes its called "Our Little Secret". Its very interesting and they certainly don't paint him in the positive light that UM does.

tiddlywinks950 08-10-2011, 07:25 PM welcome! you'll like it here...we all love Unsolved Mysteries!
hostedbyrobertstack 08-10-2011, 10:11 PM I have found some very good books that are much like unsolved mysteries...AKA they are short stories and keep my attention, haha! The books are a series of "from the files of true detective" and there are many different ones. The main one I started with is actually titled "Unsolved Mysteries." The others include murders in paradise, serial killers, spouse killers, etc... They are all very interesting. Actually, all of the stories remind me of UM stories, though must of them (aside from unsolved mysteries) are solved. Go to amazon or google and type in "from the files of true detective" and they will all pop up!
buckeye932 08-12-2011, 01:13 AM Thanks crystaldawn for the link, and to all the others that posted suggestions. I really appreciate it.
kittehkrueger 08-12-2011, 10:04 AM Welcome to another new UM fan on here.
Watch out for some of the old timers they can be a bit nasty but don't let that scare you away from posting your opinions.
The Deaths of Cindy James is a great book dealing with an Unsolved Mysteries case.

Nobody was being nasty to you; you warranted certain remarks because of your attitude and your nasty remarks. It seems like you have a problem yourself with people posting their opinions.
