I am sorry if this starts a fight but I have to tell you how I feel. You guys all say you're a fan of the show. Maybe you started watching it because of Nancy or because of Lisa or whoever. But if you really like the show then you should like everything about it. A real fan wouldn't go around picking on Kate all the time. I know I've said this several times before but I read a lot of posts today and theres a lot of Kate-bashing. I'm aware that there's a lot of good things said about her too, but saying that her character sucked and other rude comments about her, even if they are about her from first season or whenever, are unneccessary. Maybe you are just stating your opinion, but a real fan of the show wouldn't have any unkind words to say about it. I know I've said this before but I'm probably gonna leave the boards because I'm sick of it. This really is a board for the Nancy McKeon fans, and I just don't fit in.

I totally agree w/you, Whitney! I don't know what everyone holds against Kate. I think she's a very interesting character. This board seems Nancy/Jinny oriented. I lerb TD and I don't single out any actress or character on it. They all kick ass. I think that people dislike Kate because she's a rather complex character. One thing's for sure, Bonnie Bedelia is an incredibly talented and extremely impressive actress. She's definitely very professional. Her acting abilities are brilliant... and so are the other actors and actresses on the show. I lerb Kate, and I hope we get a chance to see more of her emotional side in the future. Now, I'm not mentioning any names, I'm just saying that people should stop dissing Bonnie/Kate. I am fully aware that we're all entitled to our own opinions, but I just hate how the show and the board seem to revolve around Nancy/Jinny. I lerb Nancy McKeon... she's one of my favorite actresses, but she's not the ONLY wonderful actress out there. Just my thoughts.

Yeah I totally understand what you are saying. Myself, I'm not a huge Kate fan but I do like her. I like her cuz she's the one (or was the one) to give Jinny a kick in the as$ to see reality and she is a good captain she's just rough and tough and all but I guess that makes her inspectors work harder (does that make sense?) Yeah, Jinny is my fave but Kate is really climbing up the list from the last one last season.. hehe.

I mean I did start watching it because of Nancy and the first time I saw it I didn't very much care for Kate but that's then and this is now. She is really cool. :)

KATE RULZ!!!!!!!!!!!! She's been my fave for like, ever. And I'm just getting over my period of hate towards Tracey Needham (lol) so I like em all!!!!!!!!!!! Esp. Kate tho.

I love the Cap I think she's totally awsome she's not my fave but I still like her infact I'm not talking to my libarian(sp) cause she dosn't like Bonnie.But I totally agree w/ ya.:wave:

Agreed. I started watching TD because of Nancy, but I have grown to like all the characters. I think Cap is totally cool for taking 'nothing of no one.' It shows she has guts.

Well as I already told you last night in our IM lol...Kate is my number 1 favorite. Tied with Jinny but hey she's still number 1. Bonnie is one of the bestestest actresses in the whole entire world.
