After several months with no new updates from the DVD.com site, I am more worried than ever that the DVD on DVD isn't gonna happen!
Anyone with any inside scoop on this? I have emailed them a couple of times, but gotten no reply.

I don't have any inside information, but I know from talking to other fans that most don't expect it to happen any time soon. I guess this wasn't the first time they said they were going to put it all together in a collection.
I don't have any evidence to back this up, but I have been told that they talked about putting all of it on to VHS back in the 90s, and all we got were 6 episodes. Because of this, I was told not to hold my breath.
I'd love to see the collection on DVD. I'd be the first in line to buy it, but I'm not making plans anymore. I'll have to be happy with my recorded off of TV Land and material edited out tapes.

I was afraid of that answer. I am in the same camp as you are, as far as my thinking on this goes.

www.dvdondvd.com keeps saying that they're gonna come out with a full collection with interviews and lotsa extras. their site hasn't been updated since november of 2001, which is quite frustrating. however, i received an email from them about a month ago saying that the original release date was going to be november of 2001, but they were unhappy with the quality of the film. they say they're still working on it, and that they hope to set a release date for the fall of 2002. your best bet is to contact calvada@dickvandykeshow.com . they tend to take some time getting back to you, but that's the source. any other questions - email me @ kev_bo_too@yahoo.com

That's fantastic news, if it ends up being true (I'm not doubting you, but them). I have emailed them MANY times and gotten no reply. And I'm talking about this year and last year since November. So while I'm glad you got a reply, I'm a bit miffed that I haven't gotten one.
