I thought that Jo was definitely attractive. Like you said, she may have not compared to the beauty of Blair but she was cute and was able to draw her fair share of male attention.

Nancy McKeon (and Jo) is a very attractive woman. I think the only reason she didn't get the recognition for this on TFOL is that they already had the "glam" girl in Blair and thus they seldom played up Jo's attractiveness.

The arm hair turned me off. :/

I always thought she too closely resembled John Travolta quite honestly. Seriously if you ever watch "Kotter" and watch Barbarino he's basically the male version of Jo. They both look similar and some of their mannerisms are actually similar as well although Jo was never the airhead that Barbarino was.

I can see how someone could find Jo hot. She was a strong personality and she did have that edge, which, IMO, contributed to her hotness.

While beauty is in the eye of the beholder, Blair was way too vanilla and shallow for my taste. I used to love the way Jo put her down every time Blair would start getting too grand.

Exactly,it's not her looks.As much as it is how cool she is.cool,cute and she always had high morals too.I like that.

IMO, although Jo was originally created as a lesbian, she does not look like a man at all, and is still quite good looking even at 46. Nancy McKeon was one of few good actresses on this show.

To echo others who have posted, no you're not alone! Straight, bi, or gay (me, not her) I still view her as nothing but beautiful. And to disagree, I loved her perm in Season 9. I thought she was at her hottest then, and Season 2 when she first came on the scene.

BLAIR was gorgeous (especially in season 1, 2, 3 & 4 while still a young girl) in a sophisticated, shy way, she looked like a princess from another time, very elegant & she had a latin air in her with her brown eyes & dark blond hair.....
JO was very pretty (especially when she let her hair down in season 2 in the episode "teenage marriage") she had an intelligent look with her bright green eyes, a girl from today, determined, feminine & she certainly doesn t look at all like JOHN TRAVOLTA!

NATALIE was very cute but got prettier & prettier as she got older (especially in the last 2 seasons) she had the most beautiful eyes of the girls, the warmest smile, lovely light brown hair & she also had that kind of intelligent air in her.

TOOTIE was not pretty as a kid but she certainly blossomed as a teenager (especially from season 6 to 9) she had the prettiest face, great skin, lovely hair, nice figure & very warm eyes....

MRS. G was not at all attractive in the 1st season (especially her face & big hair) but she always had style & from season 2 to 8, i think she was quite attractive, her hair looked best when it was dark red, she had the bluest warmest eyes, great olive skin, the greatest smile + more important: the kind of personality we all wish we had (bubbly & deep too)! she understood teenage issues so well she could have easily pass for a psychiatrist!

Thank you! I don't know where they're getting that John Travolta thing from. The only thing I can figure is because she's a tomboy and possibly had the same style in the earlier seasons as JT did. I loved Mrs. G because she reminds me of my own grandmother; the same goofy, bubbly but understanding and warm personality.
