Back in the day, before things like internet, you couldn't really find a published list of all the episodes of a TV show. The first time I saw one for GI was one of the memoir books that was published in the late 1980's or early 1990's. It turns out there were about 99 shows made of Gilligan's Island.
A few years before that, my brother and I started listing all the episodes we could think of. We got over 50 or 60 the first day. Then eventually, I think we got up to around 78. The first time I saw the book listing all 99 I could never figure out which ones we had forgotten.
There is a funny scene in the film "Dazed and Confused" where some students are doing this on the blackboard. It must have been study period or detention or something. I could not believe that there were other people doing the same exact thing we had! I realized that this task must have some kind of universal appeal among fans of the show.
Has anyone else attempted this?
