Also, what looks dated and shabby now was fresh and new back then. I do agree that both DS and FoL looked "cheap" by today's standards since they were shot on video rather than film, but most late 70's shows look that way to me. A millionaire living in Manhattan is almost considered middle class. A 3 bedroom apartment w/a doorman in Manhattan now starts at roughly $5k/month. Not every rich person flaunts their wealth. Maybe Mr. Drummond wanted his home to have a more comfortable look and feel. I think Arnold and Willis had a realy nice bedroom. It was the kind of bedroom I always wished I could of had when I was little.
