Yay! That awful project I had to work on is OVER and I have a few days off next week. Gonna do some major R & R and just relax. Maybe go on a day trip someplace Mon or Tuesday.

Worked all day yesterday and then ran the door for a show. Later that night hung out a bit with some friends.

Sunday family obligations

Pretty eventful day in my neighborhood yesterday morning. I was upstairs munching on some watermelon chunks, when I heard some really loud noises. I didn't think much of it, just figured it was a construction worker having a bad day or something. My roomate Bret came up from his room, and looked out the back door. Turns out that one of our neighbor Tommy's ex drug addicted girlfriends sons broke into his back door, and was trashing the place. Bret called the cops, and it turned out that three others had already called. Me and Bret went out front, so that the kid wouldn't get away, while Carl went in the backyard to make sure he wouldn't get out that way. When the first cop got here, he parked down the street next to my buddy Preston's house, so he could sneak up on the guy. Me, Carl, and Bret, then went inside. Within five minutes, there were anywhere from 10, to 15 cops outside. One of them was standing by our garage with a huge rifle. Anyway, about 20 minutes later, we heard a loud ruckus, and heard the police dogs go insane. They ended up cathing the guy this time, so I was proud of Bret. Our neighbor is a Vietnam vet, and is heavily armed, so I worried that it would turn fatal, but fortunately the kid didn't arm himself. A couple hours later, I went to my nieces first birthday party, and forgot all about it. Just another quiet morning in my neighborhood. lol ;)
