July 7, 1992 -- MTV Networks, parent company of Nick at Nite, announced today that it has acquired over 650 Hours of MTM Enterprises, Inc. Programs.

Among the shows acquired: "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" (which eventually joined the lineup on September 12, 1992 and aired on the retro cabler until June 25, 2000); "Hill Street Blues" (joined Nick at Nite on April 29, 1996 as part of an all-night sneak preview of the then-new 24-hour Nick at Nite sister network TV Land, after which it aired regularly on Saturday nights on Nick at Nite from May 4, 1996 - July 6, 1996 as part of TV Land Preview); "St. Elsewhere" (also joined Nick at Nite on April 29, 1996 as part of an all-night sneak preview of the then-new 24-hour Nick at Nite sister network TV Land, after which it aired regularly on Saturday nights on Nick at Nite from May 4, 1996 - July 6, 1996 as part of TV Land Preview); and "The White Shadow" (joined the Nick at Nite lineup in 1994, airing nightly at midnight from September 4, 1994 - May 3, 1996).
