I thought it would be appropriate to post a separate thread for this as it will likely draw more attention: I am happy to report that the version of "Stand In for Murder" included on the newly-released Lost Episodes "Best of" disc is actually the 6/4/55 remake with the complete ending and not the original 4/17/54 version as mentioned in skees53's review. (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/thehoneymoonersthelostepisodesbestofcollectiondvdreview.html) For those that aren't aware, this version has never been officially released before, so it is quite an interesting bonus. There are no air dates listed on the back of the box, so it is understandable why some fans may have mistaken it for the original, but it is absolutely, 100% NOT the version that's been released before, so all the more reason to pick this up!

Thank you. I guess, I can consider buying this DVD again considerating that the review said it was the 1954 version.

I know in the review thread, I think it says that the episodes have not been digitally remastered. That's a shame. At least MPI gave us the 1955 version of "Stand-In For Murder." But, it makes me wonder when MPI is going to be releasing the remastered versions of the lost episodes.

Awesome news!! Hopefully we'll get a remastered set that we've been hoping for for the last 5 years & will include The New Bowling Ball, The Turkey, Six Months To Live, Bus Accident, and the other remakes out there!!

It's hard to tell for sure whether or not these shows have been remastered. Keep in mind they are kinescopes and most improvements probably won't be very noticeable. I know we'd all love for them to look as good as the Classic 39, but unfortunately that's not possible, even with today's technology. Either way, any previously unreleased show is worth the price of the set in my opinion, and we should probably look at this as a hint of what's to come.

Just watched the disc. Finally, the complete ending!.... excellent episode!!!
After watching the disc, I then watched both episodes side by side and found the only major change is the '54 segment with Norton taste testing the plaster is written out of the '55 remake, I'm sure this was the time needed to keep the episode shorter. With the exception of a few words here & there, the scripts are pretty must the same. Nice to have in the collection.
