Yes, Brad and his wife Nicky are getting ready to have their baby boy. They're at the birthing facility now. The doctor is inducing labor since the little guy is in no hurry to leave his Mom's cozy belly. His due date was last week.

Contractions are 5 to 6 minutes apart. Brad's having trouble posting here, so I'm the messenger. He can read this but not post. Let's all send out prayers and happy thoughts that the delivery is fast, safe and as painless as possible.

God bless Brad, Nicky and their bundle of joy!!! Seems like just yesterday Brad was still in high school!!! Time flies. :D

see, now that's just inconsiderate; my mom was only in labor with me for 20 minutes. you need to give that boy a pep talk.

my dad wanted to stop and eat breakfast before leaving for the hospital because there had been a few false alarms, so my mom left him there and drove herself to the hospital, and then moved the car herself later that day because she had parked in the emergency area.

One thing I love about Harrison's looks is that he has a distinctive look. Many, not all, but many babies resemble each other. He clearly looks like a boy too. Those hands are huge. He looks more than a day old. So so cute.

Nah, just a name my wife came up with that she really liked. It was originally Harrison Bradley, but we changed it to Harrison James to honor my late friend, Jim. :)

Thanks, everyone! No one should be shocked that my son has a Beatles onesie! I've already sang "Golden Slumbers" and "Carry That Weight" to him four times!

But man, having a kid is an indescribable feeling. I only met him less than two days ago, yet I love him like I've known him forever.

It seems like half my friends list on FB had/have or are expecting babies this year... I can think of 5 other people off the top of my head who have had babies this summer. Most of them their first child. I'm drowning in so much cuteness overload at all the adorable baby pictures being posted! :heart: And Harrison is no exception. RED HAIR! Ahhhhhh! And the sweet pictures of him sleeping... I can't handle it all. :lol: I'm not interested in having children at this time (having a weird work schedule and having no SO helps, lol), but being around babies? Sure!

Wow, he's just gorgeous. He looks like he's smiling in the first one, but they tell us it's gas. What a yawn he's letting out in the next one. He looks like he sleeps like a bear, lol. Nicky looks great, especially after going through nice months of pregnancy and that huge delivery.

It's amazing how much Harrison has changed in just 10 days. When they're this young, you can almost see them grow if you stare at them long enough, lol. He is a handsome man, Brad. You and Nicky have truly been blessed.

I'm beside myself with agony and sympathy pain: Harrison's circumcision has been scheduled for Friday morning at 7. I may need more prayers than he does!

Is he crawling?
He's really close to crawling. He gets around by "scooting" and rolling, and has recently started doing a "military crawl." You have to watch him like a hawk when he's on the floor, because he gets into everything and our house isn't quite baby-proof yet.

He's so cute, I could scream, lol. I love his face, his eyes, the expression he makes; almost like he's a liittle shy.

We're trying to save up for one, but things always come up that are more urgent for our money. As it is, most pictures we take of him are taken with our iPhone 4, which has a pretty decent camera as far as phone cameras go.

I was wrong. I thought it was a check-up last Wednesday, but it actually turned out to be a flu shot. I just asked Nicky; she thinks his next weigh-in is at the end of the month.

The last time his stats were taken, he was 27 1/2 inches and 18 lbs. We're sure he's way bigger than that now.

By the way, Harry has just started kissing. They're sloppy, wet, open-mouthed kisses, but they're still actual baby kisses. They're wonderful! I just hope he doesn't get his feelings hurt when he sees me wipe the baby slobber off my face.

He can get on all fours, but he can't quite crawl yet, because he hasn't figured out that you need to move one leg at a time in order to do so! He tries moving both legs at a time. I'm sure he'll get the hang of it very soon.

What I meant by "military crawl" is that he kind of slithers and scoots on his belly! It's really cute.
