DEA Chemists Taught Bryan Cranston to Make Meth for "Breaking Bad" (VIDEO)

When it came to his role on "Breaking Bad", Bryan Cranston did not sample the product involved in the show to help him understand his character, though that may be more of a question for Aaron Paul.

Mr. White would never sample his wares. But he did tell "The Late Late Show" that he did learn how to make crystal meth.





Did you ever take the crystal meth "for research"?

Strictly for research. I never enjoyed it.





I don't think anyone enjoys doing crystal meth. I mean look at them, it doesn't look like they're having a good time at all.

Not at all.





They're trying to achieve the look that Chrons got by sitting next to the guillotine at the French Revolution. That no-teeth priest going 'AHHHH!!!'

That's exactly right (laughs).





I mean that's what happens with people on meth, they go ''AAHHH!!!'

They go absolutely crazy.

You get what's called meth-mouth, all of your teeth just start dropping out because it's just... eh.





Even the British do it.

Yes. That's not good.





Did you research all this for your role. Did you learn to make it?

Yes, I learned how to make it. We had DEA chemists, who are consultants on the show, they taught me step-by-step on how to make crystal meth.
