Do not stand
at my grave and weep.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds
that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight
on ripened grain.

When you awake in the
morning's hush
I am the soft uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft star that
shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there.
I did not die.

I don't know the name of the person who said this, but it was a movie critic commenting that most of what was coming out in the movies, in his opinion, was lousy, and along comes a so-so movie, not as lousy as the lousy ones, yet everyone thinks it's the best movie ever made, because they're conditioned to low expectations. In general, I think it's a good axiom in any area of endeavor, to raise the bar high and strive for excellence.

I feel incredibly bad for all the people out there who believe that they're always right, while the rest of the world is always wrong. I hate that kind of self righteousness. "If you're 25 years old with a cute 20-something woman in one hand and a drink in the other, that's called being lucky. If you're 55 and married and the same thing happens, it's called financial suicide".

"I really enjoy helping other people while sometimes getting my body shoved around and beaten up from time to time. Sure beats working 10 hours a day in a cubicle virtually on auto-pilot".

I have a couple more to add.

If what doesn’t kill us is making us stronger,
We’re gonna last longer
Than that greatest wall in China
Or that rabbit with the drum

If there’s one thing that I’ve learned
While waiting for my turn,
It’s that in each life some rain falls
But you also get some sun

And we’ll make out better than okay
Hear what I say
Hey, any day

The Roseanne theme song in the last season. The last season wasn't a favorite of mine, at all! but, I loved the theme song and the words made sense. They make you really think.

I also like:

"You can talk the talk, but can you walk the walk?"

That quote is basically saying, don't be a hypocrite. You talk this way but act this way. If you are going to say something, don't just say it, do it!

"Some people say God doesn't exist, because you can't see him, or feel him, but just because we can't see or feel something doesn't mean it doesn't exist, right? We can see or feel air but we know it exists." -unknown

"Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer."

"If you live in a glass house, don't throw stones."

"Live life to the fullest because you don't know when you will be taken from this earth."

"Love as if you were to live forever, live as if you were to die tomorrow."

"There are no small parts, just small actors."

"It's not about the amount of time you spend it's what you do with the time you have."

"Why is it so easy to hurt someone, but so hard to say "I'm sorry?"

"Why is it hard to say "I love you" but so easy to say "I hate you?"

"It's not important where you have been, it's important where you are going."

"You can attract more flies with honey, than with vinegar."

"Seeing isn't believing, believing is seeing."

"Money may not grow on trees, but love grows everywhere."

"It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday." Boyz II Men-"It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday"

"Our eyes are the windows to our souls."

"Lord, I believe I have a just complaint,
Hear my story, don’t let me down.
I have always tried to play fair.
Never have I resorted to the physical.
I have kept my feet firmly on your paths,
Championed your cause, proclaimed your word.
You have told me of your love
In the words of your Book;
But true love is shown
Not only in words, but in deeds.
Now surprise me with your grace, and
Bless me with your help!
Those I serve don’t appear to respond.
They seem indifferent to your word.
I reach out in concern and I am cold shouldered,
They just don’t want to know me.
Lord, I am weary of well-doing,
I feel burnt out.
Now, guard me as the apple of your eye.
Hide me in the shelter of your care.
Encourage me in the work I am doing,
The inner peace, you alone can bring.
I know that one day, I shall see you face to face,
And be filled with the sight of your glory.
‘Guard me as the apple of your eye.
Hide me in the shadow of your wings
As you fly over me.’
Amen."

got this one from my Facebook friend Caryl. :)

"When I woke up this morning, I asked myself, "What is life about?" I found the answer in my room...the Fan said, "Be Cool." The Roof said, "Aim High." The Window said, "See the World!" The Clock said, "Every minute is Precious." The Mirror said, "Reflect before you Act." The Calendar said, "Be up to Date." The Door said, "Push hard for your Goals." The Floor said, "Kneel down and Pray"...~

Too many people are living in the past. Get over it peeps, everyone else has. Don't let it consume you. If you do, you will never be happy, and the only person you'll be hurting is yourself.

17 “These things I command YOU, that love one another. 18 If the world hates YOU, YOU know that it has hated me before it hated YOU. 19 If YOU were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because YOU are no part of the world, but I have chosen YOU out of the world, on this account the world hates YOU. 20 Bear in mind the word I said to YOU, A slave is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will persecute YOU also; if they have observed my word, they will observe YOURS also. 21 But they will do all these things against YOU on account of my name, because they do not know him that sent me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 He that hates me hates also my Father. 24 If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would have no sin; but now they have both seen and hated me as well as my Father. 25 But it is that the word written in their Law may be fulfilled, ‘They hated me without cause.’ 26 When the helper arrives that I will send YOU from the Father, the spirit of the truth, which proceeds from the Father, that one will bear witness about me; 27 and YOU, in turn, are to bear witness, because YOU have been with me from when I began. - Jesus Christ"

St. Luke 20 - "And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple, and preached the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came upon him with the elders,

2 and spake unto him, saying, Tell us, by what authority doest thou these things? or who is he that gave thee this authority?

3 And he answered and said unto them, I will also ask you one thing; and answer me:

4 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men?

5 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then believed ye him not?

6 But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a prophet.

7 And they answered, that they could not tell whence it was.

8 And Jesus said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things" - King James Version

"Too many damn puppets in this world today. Time to grow some balls, and start thinking for yourselves. It's like the world is under mind control or something. Best thing I EVER did for myself was to start thinking for myself. As a result, I have had the three greatest months of my life. Had I known what I know now, I would have quit being a puppet, and start being a real person years ago, and would have stood up and called out the b.s from the very beginning. If you want to be miserable, be a puppet, If you want to be real, or free, start thinking for yourself. Best decision I have ever made! I take NOTHING back." - Bradley Russ

"You say you want this world to change? Well then stand up, get off your ass, and do something good and motive free for once in your life. If you complain about the hypocrisy and gossip in the world, and then a half hour later you are gossiping against the innocent,, then shut your mouth, and lay back in your bed. If you are not a part of the solution, you are part of the problem." - Bradley Russ

When someone posts something that's true, but then get their thread or post deleted before anyone can read it, and then they unjustly get banned for speaking truth, because their words made the deleter look like an idiot. I'm so pathetic aren't I? lol Try looking in the mirror. Nobody would have known, remember?? I'm prophetic aren't I? ;)

"All the good that has happened in my life, and that Iv'e done, had absolutely NOTHING to do with me, but has everything to do with God. Next time you want to send me praises, please feel free, but if you do, PLEASE be sure to praise God 99.9% more, because 99.9% of it, is because of Him! It has VERY LITTLE to do with me, He deserves ALL the credit!" :)

"It's good to stand up for your friends, but if you do, be sure that you first have the true and unbiased story. You hurt people who have done nothing to deserve that, people who always stood by your side, and did nothing but show you true love through their actions. Don't convict the innocent! Those people don't deserve to be treated that way. You tear their heart out, and stomp on it with no mercy, no forgiveness, even when they did nothing that would even require being forgiven for. You judge them even when they've known you longer than anyone else, and stood beside you as much as anyone else ever did. It's not fair to them. They don't deserve to be treated like that. The truth is out there. Get both people's versions of the truth, and realize that the actual truth is most likely somewhere in the middle of those two people's version. Bottomline, don't act or judge until you have the true story. Take some time to think, and don't post on impulse. When you post when you are angry, and emotional, you post untruths, and slice the innocent ones hearts with a double edged sword because of your unwarranted, and unfair words. When you do that, your fakeness becomes obvious. Don't let loyalty blind you to the truth. With that said, when the inevitable does happen, and it will, I will be here for you. I PROMISE!! Anyway, let's change the world, and start being real with one another. I think that time is long overdue." - Bradley Russ

Brad, please stop your personal shots on this thread. I am the one who deleted the thread and banned her. For her to be gone for that long and come back and take a final shot like that was completely uncalled for and classless. I'm not going to stand for it. Keep your drama off the boards or this thread is going to be closed. This isn't your personal thread to take shots at people.

Another hypocrit showing his true colors. Where were you a few days ago when Janice started trashing me? What she said was FAR more hateful then anythibng Iv'e said, and you know it. If you want to play this childish game, go right ahead. Like the others, I feel sorry for you.

Just shut up Brad. I'm so tired of this. You've been going on for well over a week. I go on vacation and I come back and you're still yelling about it. What Janice said to you was nothing compared to what you said about her on FB. And don't deny it. I was over there. You didn't name her but that's who you were talking about. I asked you to send me the E-Mails to show me what she said but you didn't. Janice showed them to me. They weren't much. You were hissy with her first. It was just a fight among friends that you turned into WW 3. You were apologizing to her the day before you trashed her on FB. And don't you dare bring up Mattie or Kyle or any of them. If I started a thread trashing them like Kristen did the other day, You'd report my posts. I know you would. You quote the scriptures alot but you don't follow them. You are using this fight as some sort of vandetta and it's sick. People want peace but it's hard to do when all you guys do is spam the boards.
