Do you know why you are not hearing much off season talk about the rams ?
Because teams are always quiet the year they win the super bowl.

Because teams are always quiet the year they win the super bowl. Zoneboy 07-15-2011, 12:32 AM I haven't heard much off season talk about many of the teams including the Rams. tiredmike59 07-15-2011, 01:00 AM I just hope they are still in st.louis when they do it. MrCleveland 07-18-2011, 07:38 PM Call me when The Browns go to the Super Bowl...and no, not the one Larry the Cable Guy talks about! Mr. Television 07-18-2011, 07:45 PM This is the year of the Cowboys. Mark it down. :D Dork 07-18-2011, 08:32 PM This is the year of the Cowboys. Mark it down. :D Uhhh, no, Romo is not a franchise quarterback and they have alot of holes and I am sure you say that every year and they haven't been to the Superbowl in 16 years so be realistic Dork 07-18-2011, 08:33 PM My Vikings will not make it to the Superbowl and I am being realistic, they are in a rebuilding mode Dork 07-18-2011, 08:35 PM Do you know why you are not hearing much off season talk about the rams ? Because teams are always quiet the year they win the super bowl. The Rams have no chance of going to the Superbowl, they have way too many holes Mr. Television 07-18-2011, 08:41 PM Uhhh, no, Romo is not a franchise quarterback and they have alot of holes and I am sure you say that every year and they haven't been to the Superbowl in 16 years so be realistic I haven't said that in a few years. And it was meant more as a joke anyway. And as for Romo not being a franchise qb, that is a joke. I've had alot of problems with him over the years but he's still around the 10th best qb in the league. Dork 07-18-2011, 08:48 PM I haven't said that in a few years. I don't know, Romo has not impressed me since he was the starter, that is why I did not feel he is not a franchise quarterback, he reminds me of Chad Pennington, just a medicore quarterback Mr. Television 07-18-2011, 08:58 PM I don't know, Romo has not impressed me since he was the starter, that is why I did not feel he is not a franchise quarterback, he reminds me of Chad Pennington, just a medicore quarterback The only thing I question about Romo is his leadership and his commitment in getting the rest of the team to play up to their potential. As far as QB skills, he's much better than Chad Pennington. It would be nice if Romo actually had a decent offensive line to play behind. He's always running for his life too. Good point tiredmike59 08-14-2011, 12:22 AM I'm going to keep bringing up this old post each time the Rams win. They won their first pre-season game 33-10 over the colts. I know it was just a practice game and manning didn't play for Indy, but 2 years ago they only won 1 game, so I grab any win I can get. catlover79 08-14-2011, 01:04 AM The Cleveland Browns will win the 2012 Super Bowl. ;) Hey, I can dream, right? biffbronson 08-14-2011, 10:38 AM Hmmm... How about if the Rams were to move back to their original city, Cleveland? Then you could both have the same Super Bowl winner in the same year!!! catlover79 08-14-2011, 02:42 PM Hey, we'll take it!! MrCleveland 08-14-2011, 08:40 PM Rams vs. Browns... I'd go for the Browns! Dork 08-15-2011, 02:15 AM Rams vs. Browns... I'd go for the Browns! Not happening tiredmike59 08-15-2011, 03:08 AM The Rams have no chance of going to the Superbowl, they have way too many holes The only hole the Rams had last year was their offensive coordinator,he was an A hole, but he is with another team this year. biffbronson 08-16-2011, 04:00 PM Here's one for the St. Louis and Cleveland fans: When was the last time the Rams visited Cleveland to play the Browns? I was just wondering. I suppose a media guide from either team would have the answer. I'll never forget that Rams-Titans superbowl. McNair came so close to pulling that thing out -- probably the most exciting NFL game I've seen in the past couple of decades. catlover79 08-16-2011, 04:11 PM The Rams and Browns played each other last year in preseason, and they will meet on November 13th at Browns Stadium. Before that, I couldn't find anything. biffbronson 08-16-2011, 04:24 PM Thanks! That was sure a fast response. I always think it's neat when a team returns to their old hometown, although sometimes the reception is far from cordial (like when the Colts first played back in Baltimore years after moving to Indy). The Rams and Cardinals have both moved twice each (I think that's the most, unless you count the Raiders moving back and forth between Oakland and LA). MrCleveland 08-16-2011, 04:41 PM I was jokin' about the Rams v. Browns, people say that the only Super Bowl The Browns will be in is...the one made of Porcelain! (The chances are slim...65-1, The Rams...40-1). But the Bills and Panthers have the worst odds of the Super Bowl 110-1 tiredmike59 08-20-2011, 11:25 PM 2ND PRESEASON GAME Rams 17 Titans 16 Tweety 08-21-2011, 04:18 PM Here's one for the St. Louis and Cleveland fans: When was the last time the Rams visited Cleveland to play the Browns? McNair came so close to pulling that thing out -- probably the most exciting NFL game I've seen in the past couple of decades. The last time the Rams played in Cleveland was on December 8, 2003. That happened to be a Monday Night Game. The Rams won, 26-20. The weather for that game: 27 degrees, relative humidity 76%, wind 8 mph, wind chill 19. Since then, the two teams have met once in the regular season, at St. Louis, on October 28, 2007, with the Browns winning that one by a score of 27-20. The two teams have split the 18 games they've played all time, each winning 9 (goes back to the original Browns). The Browns won the first 5 meetings between the teams, and the Rams won the next 4. MrCleveland 08-21-2011, 09:41 PM Is it me or does it seem that when The Browns play The Lions...the Lions win? (So if The Lions played The Browns in 2008, their record would be 1-15...with The Lions beating The Browns)! Tweety 08-22-2011, 10:31 PM Is it me or does it seem that when The Browns play The Lions...the Lions win? (So if The Lions played The Browns in 2008, their record would be 1-15...with The Lions beating The Browns)! You have a good memory. The Browns have lost 5 of the last 6 meetings between the two teams, dating back to 1989. The Browns beat the Lions in September of 2001, but lost to them in 1989, 1992, 1995, 2005 and 2009. Their last victory over the Lions before 2001 was in 1986. The Browns are 4-14(!) all time against the Lions. (Read that sentence again carefully) I am absolutely stunned by those numbers! Someone could have won a lot of moolah from me making a bet like that! MrCleveland 08-23-2011, 05:20 PM You have a good memory. I would think that, when it comes to fans of the Rams, that preseason games are ALL that counted! :) How long have you been a Rams fan? Were you able to enjoy their great Super Bowl win over Tennessee? Wow, to me, that doesn't seem like it was that long ago, but that was back in 2000 (i.e. the 1999 season)... back when the Super Bowl was played in January. Mr. Television 08-27-2011, 10:28 AM 3RD PRESEASON GAME RAMS 14 CHIEFS 10 Too bad these games don't count, they're 3 and 0 so far. Sam Bradford is going to be a good QB. Tweety 08-27-2011, 10:33 AM Sam Bradford is going to be a good QB. I agree, and the coach has a LOT of confidence in Bradford. I know this because I had Steven Jackson on my fantasy team (for several years, and he was usually my keeper). Seems to me that, last year, the Rams would get down inside the five, they might let Jackson run it once, but then if he didn't make it, it was up to Bradford to throw it in. The Coach wanted to give Bradford all the experience he could in punching it in from close range. I didn't like it as a fantasy owner, but Jackson does have a few miles on him, and they clearly want to move to a more diversified offense. I should talk...The New Browns will NEVER see a Super Bowl. (I just hope Colt McCoy can turn that around though). tiredmike59 08-27-2011, 10:47 PM I would think that, when it comes to fans of the Rams, that preseason games are ALL that counted! :) How long have you been a Rams fan? I have been a Rams fan since they came to St.louis. I followed the Cardinals before that, even when they moved to Arizona. I watched that superbowl game with the Titans, that was a nail biter, was not used to those type of games, most of the season that year, the game was over by the 3rd quarter. tiredmike59 09-01-2011, 10:35 PM Final results of Rams preseason; RAMS 33 COLTS 10 RAMS 17 TITANS 16 RAMS 14 CHIEFS 10 RAMS 24 JAGUARS 17 Last time the Rams won all their preseason games was 1979, their superbowl year. Next victim, Eagles sept.11 in St.louis. That 79 Rams team had a LOT of heart. They gave the Steelers all they wanted in SB 14. That game had 7 lead changes, and the Rams led after every quarter (except the 4th of course). Spectacular plays in a spectacular Super Bowl that was considered to be a total mismatch going in. Steelers led 3-0 Rams led 7-3 after 1st Q Steelers go up 10-7 Rams led 13-10 at Halftime Steelers went up 17-13 on a spectacular Swann TD reception Rams get a couple of FGs and lead 19-17 after 3 Quarters Steelers strike back with a 73 yard TD from Bradshaw to Stallworth to take a 24-17 lead. Rams come back on a great drive, but Ferragamo threw an INT in Steeler territory (HOFer Jack Lambert made the pick) and the Steelers grinded out a TD drive to win 31-19. Much closer than the final score. That game scared me (as a Steeler fan) |
