Another episode has been butchered by the local channel here. After the 15 minute episode of “Two on a Raft” earlier they’ve reduced “The Postman Cometh” to 19 minutes.
The entire sequences of Mrs Howell showing Gilligan how to woo a woman like Charles Boyer, Mr Howell teaching the Skipper how to recite poetry as Matt Dillon and Ginger showing the art of romance to the Professor as Cary Grant have been removed. To me, it borders on a criminal act.

 Woot??? By removing those scenes (which are also some of the funniest scenes in the whole episode), they've missed the whole point - that the other castaways are trying to help Mary Ann feel that she's attractive to men!
And it also means when they show her in the dream sequence, no-one would know why Gilligan is acting like a Frenchman and Skipper like a cowboy!
Philistines!

Tv stations are only concerned about their commercials. They dont give a damn about their viewers.

It's sad. They'd give a damn about their viewers if they didn't have any, because no-one wants to watch wall to wall commercials.
