View Full Version : What were some of your old usernames?
Brad Russ 07-11-2011, 01:57 PM I ask this question because Iv'e only been back here for about a month, and Iv'e noticed alot of new names. I know alot of that is due to the new faces around here, but I also know that a person with 30 thousand posts has obviously been here for a long time, but because of your name change, I have no idea who you are. My previous usernames were mdntrider7, and Little Mel. I had another one too, but I can't remember what it was. All I know is that everyone hated it, and told me I should change my name back, so I only had it for a week or less before going back to mdntrider7. Now I just use my real name, well kind of, my real name is Bradley, but I prefer Brad. Anyway, please identify yourselves.
Penny Lane 07-12-2011, 11:37 AM When I first joined SO I was NEWHART FAN. (I am still a fan!) But I changed to Penny Lane because it represents my love for Paul McCartney and The Beatles.:guitar: :notworthy

I prefer Penny Lane to Newhart Fan. I honestly couldn't imagine you as anyone other than Penny Lane. That name just fits you like a glove! :)
Yooch 07-12-2011, 01:14 PM I've never changed mine. I'm not particularly fond of the username 'Yooch'; maybe I would've picked something different. However, to avoid confusion, I'm just sticking with it, because that's what people are used to, so I'm ok with it.

Iv'e been meaning to ask you this for years, but what does Yooch mean?
Yooch 07-12-2011, 01:33 PM It's a slang word for part of the anatomy. (which I didn't know when I chose it), but the reason I picked it was that when I was a kid, my mom sometimes used it as a nickname (not knowing the aforementioned slang meaning).
It came about because my name is actually 'Eugene' and 'yooch' is a variation of the first syllable of 'Eugene', just like when someone calls a guy 'Dave', whose name is David, or a girl 'Steph' instead of Stephanie. Something like that.

That was a good one. I think I had that one not long after the Johnny Cash movie was released. I was a big fan of his when I was a kid. I still have a bunch of his records...I just don't have a record player.

Considering Family Ties has always been my all-time favorite show it suits me. :)

You know Sonny, you can actually find some really good record players for real cheap at garage sales. That's where I got mine. Getting a record player for your records will knock the dust off of them for sure. And I agree with you. Johnny Cash was an amazing man. Iv'e been a fan of his ever since I saw him perform at the Billy Graham Crusade back in 1992. Love his version of the song Hurt, which was originally written by Trent Reznor, of Nine Inch Nails. The song and video are amazing. And I loved Joachin Phoenix as Cash in Walk The Line too. He fit the role perfectly, and in my opinion, he should have won the best actor Oscar for his amazing performance.

Ahh, I see. Thanks for explaining that to me.
