"Modern Family" is about to lose one of its biggest scene-stealers: twins Ella and Jaden Hiller. According to E! Online, little Lily is being recast.

Producers have reportedly issued a casting notice for an "Asian, 3- to 4-year-old daughter of Mitchell and Cameron."

Series star Jesse Tyler Ferguson hinted to E! about a possible recast, especially since Season 3 will feature a walking, talking Lily.

"Lily will definitely be more prominent in season three," he said.

"It's interesting with children because we can't force this 2 and a half-year-old child to start speaking, and we don't know if the twins who play Lily are inclined toward acting, so maybe we'll cast another older child who can talk and who wants to be an actress to play Lily."

The babies who played Lily never, ever smiled, or looked happy, or had any expression, except for the "I don't want to be here" frown. Made me wonder if this kid was like that most of the time, and having to work in an environment. Yes, the babies worked. They were on the stage, had to be made up and clothed by professional staffers, and having to do takes under a hot light with some person lugging the kid around take after take with her basically wanting to go home and wishing her parents had real jobs so they would not pimp her out like this.

I guess it sucks to be fired at 2 years old, but the kids probably made a million dollars doing it so it was well worth it. They can hopefully live a normal life away from the spotlight and there is no reason they cannot. I didn't know that they were a they. I thought it was only one grumpy Oriental child. Learn something new everyday.

Plot twist, have the mother from Vietnam find her child and wanting her kid back. Have the mother played by the child who was the daughter of Miles and Keiko O'Brien on Star Trek TNG.
