When Leave It to Beaver" left its primetime run on the ABC-TV Network in the late Summer of 1963, I don't think re-runs of the show ever went to network television.

When some network shows (Father Knows Best & Donna Reed, for example) finished their network primetime runs, re-runs were shown on the network on weekday afternoons or mornings. It seems the path "Beaver" re-runs took was to be shown on local stations on weekdays for a good part of the 1960's. The show never got back to being seen nationally until 1980 when cable outlet WTBS started showing it on Sunday mornings. This led to the show later going to TV Land for a similar kind of viewing.

I have no idea. I wasnt alive back then.

I know it was widely syndicated in the south in the 1970's. That's when I discovered it.

1976 was a banner year for re-runs of Leave It To Beaver, The Monkees and The Brady Bunch :)
