No to both questions.

No matter how upset someone makes me, I don't have the heart to hit them in the face. Often times, just thinking about doing it and I feel bad, lol.

When I was younger growing up in Brooklyn, NY and northern Jersey (near Newark) there was always big talk about gangs and gang fights, but I never actually saw one or participated in one; I was just a wanna be for a short phase in 8th grade, but never fit the part. These kids from Newark were supposedly coming up to Bloomfield, NJ and there were like, 30 of us. We went walking down to the designated spot all tough and everything. The "Norkers" we called them, actually never showed up. I don't even remember what the fight was supposed to be about; how stupid. Anyway, after the Norkers didn't show, we all went home. I was never involved with anything like that again. If my parents would've found out, Oh boy!

There were, when I was growing up groups of kids in the neighborhoods where I lived who acted, dressed like, combed their hair like the Greasers and Soshes in the Outsiders, but most of it was just posturing. I like the lore of the 50's culture, hence my interest in: Grease, American Graffiti, Happy Days, the Outsiders (as I mentioned), to name a few. This is all romanticised but it fascinated me and still does, including Doo-Wop music, which I like.

Yes, I've seen my share of violence. I witnessed a couple of drive-by shootings, fights at school, etc.

I try to stay out of fights as much as possible. I only fight when someone starts it with me. I'm not a violent person but I have no problem getting there if the situation calls for it. I'm happy that I've haven't gotten to that point too often.

The closest I have seen to a gang fight was at a basketball game. It was at one of the Toledo public schools, near downtown. Someone stood up and held up a gun and then a small group not too far from the person, all stood up and ran out of the seats. The person ran after them and fired a shot right before the police got him. It sounds like it took a while, but really, this all happened within a half minute.

I have punched someone in the face. The one time I have ever hit someone, they called my granddaddy a hillbilly because he's from the south. The guy was drunk when he did it, but that didn't stop me from giving him a black eye.

No to both, but as to the second one, I certainly have felt like doing that to a couple of relatives at one time or another.

Thanks. Now I just wish I still had hair to grease!!! :lol: I had when I was young, a curly mop of light brown, fine hair, not the type that could be combed into a pompadour or DA. Try though I might, with all the pomades, hair tonics, Brylcreem, Vitalis and all the other s$%^ one puts on one's hair, I'd get it the way I wanted, then in a few hours it'd spring right back to the curly head. I even carried a comb in my back pocket so, when I had a chance, wet my hair and try to comb it like Fabian or Elvis. I finally gave up. :lol: This phase lasted between 6th and 8th grade, but to this day it sure would be nice to have something to comb! :lol:

I was in NYC a few years ago... it was closing time at a bar. I don't remember what it was about anymore... I was waiting outside with a friend for another one of our friends to come out. All of a sudden, these two guys started fighting. Or rather, I should say one guy started beating the **** out of the second guy. This was Manhattan at about 3am... I was worried that the second guy was going to get run over by a cab. :eek:

I've made threats, but have not had to carry them out to date. ;)
