Just curious if Mary always was a goody two shoes character or did she actually show signs of being angry or even dare I say mean???

Yes, that was a classic moment of Mary being un-Mary-like. There was also her short-lived addiction to sleeping pills in S7. And she could be pretty angry whenever her parties were ruined, which was basically all the time! ;)

She could get pretty annoyed with Sue Ann and had some great one liners with her. She also kept refusing to have a bachelor party for Ted but eventually gave in. I think she was human. She was a good person but not perfect. There was an episode where Murray wanted to have another baby and his wife didn't. He came over and interrupted a date she had with Andy and she didn't hid her irritation.

In that same episode Mary gave Mr Grant the business about equal pay. She painted that man in a corner in his own office and at the bar. That was my favorite episode acutally, The Good Time News, in Season 3. You saw some changes in Mary Richards that season.
