Has anyone here ever done Loaves & Fishes meals on wheels? When I was a kid, me, my brother, and my father would do meals on wheels every Saturday. I loved it so much. You mostly delivered the food to elderly people, but every once in awhile you would deliver to a young person. The elderly people would always be so grateful, we even befriended many of them, and would be invited into many of their homes. I wish I drove. If I did I would definitely do it again. Any of you ever do meals on wheels?

My mother did it for a few years. When I was home from university, I would help out and really enjoyed it. My mom really got to know the people she was delivering too...Now that I'm older and independent, I've been trying to think of ways to "give back". I'd forgotten all about this wonderful avenue...I'll have to check on it in my area...maybe I can get involved. Thx for the reminder!
You're welcome Sam. I'm glad I was able to bring this memory back to you. I respect you, and think it's pretty awesome that you want to give back to society. It's just too bad there's not more people out there like you. :)

My grandparents used to deliver meals on wheels. I think my mom might have done it for a while too. I vaguely remember going with someone one time to deliver meals on wheels when I was very young, but I don't remember who it was.

Many low income shut ins rely on Meals on Wheels. I've never had them and hope I can continue to get the food I prepare and buy.
MOW is a good place to offer some service.
